Corvallis Girls Lacrosse started approx. 10 years ago due to an increased interest in the sport.
Corvallis Girls Lacrosse does not hold formal tryouts and welcomes all players, regardless of experience or skill level, as long as she has a commitment to developing her lacrosse skills and contributing to the team. We will field a varsity team and consideration will be given to forming a junior varsity team as numbers and scheduling allow. As a club sport, the team is administratively independent of the high schools and receives no school district support.
Corvallis Girls Lacrosse competes in the Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association’s Willamette Valley Conference against teams in Corvallis, Albany and Salem, with additional non-conference games against schools primarily in the Eugene and Portland areas. There are 10-14 games a season, followed by post-season play. Games are usually on weekdays and Corvallis Girls Lacrosse provides transportation to all away games. Team practices start at the end of February/beginning of March and games begin in mid-March. The team typically practices every weekday evening and depending on tournament play, the season ends in late May.
